CLINICAL SUPERVISION
At Cove Mountain Counseling, we believe in sharing our expertise and training with developing therapists. Our skills rest
on a solid foundation of our own training in helping people change and supporting the development of others. As therapists
and teachers, we offer a unique array of talent and the ability to cultivate strong therapeutic skills in developing
therapists. We believe that the process of supervision is one of empowering therapists by fostering their skills in an
atmosphere of support and mutual respect.
We can assist the supervised clinician in skill building in a variety of areas: diagnosis; treatment of specific
diagnostic categories, treatment techniques and modalities such as family and couples counseling, and organizational
consultation. Cove Mountain supervisors assist professionals with identifying and handling issues that often arise in the
course of treatment. These typically include transference and counter-transference issues as well as ethical and process
issues.
