PREPARATION FOR COURT APPEARANCES
Dr. Linda Pucci is available to assist attorneys in the preparation of children for the court process. A clinician with 21
years of experience, she has assisted in the preparation of a number of severely traumatized children to testify in
criminal court. She is well versed in the forensic issues related to such preparation, so as not to contaminate critical
testimony.Dr. Pucci has co-authored two workbooks for children preparing to testify in court proceedings:
Getting Ready for Court: A Book for Children (Criminal Edition) and
Getting Ready for Court: A Book for Children (Civil Edition).
Both books have withstood legal challenges for neutrality.
She has also co-authored a book for adolescents called Finding Your Way: What Happens When You Tell About Abuse to assist youth in understanding the way the system operates when there has been a disclosure of abuse.
Dr. Pucci has also provided national and regional professional training on preparing severely traumatized children for court testimony. She is Board Certified as an Expert in Traumatic Stress and in Forensic Traumatology.
