I’m glad you’re here!
I believe in holistic healing of the mind, body and spirit. Life events effect all of us in several ways. Sometimes those events bring us happiness, joy or contentment. Other times, though, there is emotional pain, and wounds are created. These effects can show up as depression, anxiety, addictions, PTSD and other problems.
Often we don’t know how to cope with or deal with those problems. Learning positive truths about ourselves and specific skills can help.
I can help in a variety of ways. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a tool I use to treat trauma, anxiety and depression. I practice other counseling modalities as well, including cognitive therapies. Most recently, I’ve been excited to offer a new group experience utilizing Acudetox. You can learn more about that below.
We can heal from our wounds and live happy lives. At my office, you’ll find a safe and caring environment that lends itself to meeting your counseling goals.
My journey to becoming a counselor has been through healing in my own life. Many people believed in me and gave me courage to become who I am today. I can provide guidance and support to you, as well.
I’d love to help you meet your goals for improving your life.
ACUDETOX GROUP, Wednesdays, 5-6p.m
Acudetox is a method that will assist you in your healing journey, either on its own or as an adjunct to other therapies. it is a non-verbal process that lasts 30-45 minutes, while you sit comfortably, relaxing in a quiet atmosphere. Benefits are varied. The following are only some of the reported benefits.
- Reduced pain
- Reduced depression and anxiety
- Reduced cravings for food, tobacco, alcohol and drugs
- Better able to manage and reduce anger and frustration.
- Improved sleep.
- Increased energy.
Here’s just a sampling of what participants are saying about this powerful process.
My anger and frustration are lessened. I’m smoking less, and my headaches have gone from daily to not having any since I began Acudetox.
My physical pain has decreased. My anxiety, ander and frustration is less, and I feel less stressed. I am finding Acudetox to be very helpful.
After surgery, Acudetox reduced my pain and anxiety, allowing my body to make the healing process a more positive experience. It also helped to accept my limitations and look forward to the possibilities.
