Heya!

Tell me how I can help. No seriously, how can I help? You tell me. You’re the expert of what you’re going through, I just know a bunch about how your brain and body may be responding to your journey. You’re the expert in everything that you’ve already done to try to help yourself, and you don’t need another person telling you to try things that you know don’t work. My therapeutic approach changes based on client need, one session we may be sitting and talking, another we may be writing, reading, meditating, or walking through the park. I’m extremely nerdy and love learning about my clients’ interests and bringing them into therapy sessions to help them understand psychotherapeutic concepts. For example, your anime knowledge could help you with complex concepts like how to communicate and manage friendships, your sports knowledge can help you understand how you and your emotions are a team, your knowledge of Pokémon can help you understand Somatic Restructuring, and Dungeons and Dragons can help you process trauma narratives. 

MY BACKGROUND

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in helping individuals between 13 and 35 who are struggling with trauma and all that comes with it (i.e. executive functioning, somatic responses, fears), Autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. As an army wife I also like to work with veterans of all ages. 

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

I’m born and raised here in Blount County. I grew up running on bare feet and in the creek. I am an Army Wife, going on 10 years. I live with my spouse, my dog (Harker) and my cat (Scout). I love reading and writing. I love Legend of Zelda, Dungeons and Dragons, board games, hiking, and spending time in the mountains. 

INVESTMENT

I do not accept insurance at this time. My assessment fee is $180, and my hourly rate is $175.

Therapy isn’t a forever thing, but I will be here, as long as you need it. Therapy is what you make it. As your therapist I will not work harder than you, but I will make sure you know how to work hard for yourself.
